Jacqui is the founder of Little Goodbyes Press, an independent imprint creating picture books that help children and their grownups move through everyday changes with warmth, connection, and a little playfulness.
Her first book, Bye-Bye, Boobies, was inspired by her work as an IBCLC with families navigating weaning, and shaped by her own breastfeeding experience. That mix of professional care and lived empathy gives her writing its gentle honesty and a practical voice parents can trust.
Now, in addition to her picture books, Jacqui also writes nonfiction resources to support new and independent authors with a special focus on Canadian tools like public lending rights and library distribution. Her goal is to make the publishing process more transparent, one checklist at a time.
Jacqui writes and illustrates all of her titles, working in digital painting, collage, and a sketchbook that usually has tea stains and toast crumbs in it. Her work is grounded in real parenting, and shaped by the belief that even the smallest goodbyes deserve attention and understanding.
All original titles are written in Canadian English, with U.S. and U.K. editions available to reflect regional spelling and usage. As Little Goodbyes Press continues to grow, Jacqui is working with contributors to bring stories into more languages and communities, making space for different voices and families while keeping the heart of each book.
